BECKY WILLIAMS
Founder · Dance Teacher
Hello, I’m Becky Williams and I organise and teach the majority of the dance classes at Shooting Stars Dance Academy.
I began dancing at the very young age of 5 at my local dance school in Warrington called Felica Burns School Of Dance. I realised immediately that this was my passion and throughout my childhood all I did was dance, dance, dance – I lived for it for so much! I remember performing enthusiastically in many shows, fetes alongside the various exams and competitions.
As my enthusiasm grew for the subject I began to excel in my achievements resulting in an A* GCSE and my A Levels with an A. It was then that I decided to go and further my studies at dance college in Liverpool and I attended the Merseyside Dance and Drama college. I completed my 2 year Dance Teacher Training gaining many qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre. In 2005 I graduated with my Diploma in performing Arts and I have also completed my Zumba teaching grade with a Distinction and got my IDTA Teaching grade in Freestyle dance.
In 2007 I achieved my dream when I acquired the amazing and wonderful dance school – SSDA. At present we are honoured to have over 230 students in our academy, taught by 5 amazingly talented teachers.
SSDA continues to grow and grow and I am so proud and privileged to have such an awesome dance school with such great support from parents. We are now in our 12th year and we have so much more to give and and look forward to!
I love watching the children share my passion for dance and to see what I do to their lives is overwhelming and such a privilege and honour.
Here’s to many more opportunities….
‘Dance to make you happy, Dance to feel alive and Dance like nobody is watching’
