MISS ZARA
Dance Teacher
My name is Miss Zara and I am a dance teacher at SSDA. A little backstory about me…
I started dance when I was 3 years old and became a committed member of SSDA at the age of 7. I then joined the elites, the competition team at 12 years old where I competed in many dance competitions, took part in several exams and performed in many showcases.
To further my training I completed A-level and Btec dance at Priestly college for 2 years, before studying Dance Performance at LMA university in Liverpool.
Throughout my training at LMA, I trained in multiple styles, worked with industry professionals and performed in many showcases at the M&S bank arena and the Epstein theatre. After I completed my dance performance course, I graduated LMA with a 2:1 BA Hons degree. Soon after I graduated, I began starting my teaching journey as this was something I was eager to do and enjoy.
At SSDA the principal area of dance I teach in is Street / Commerical. I love teaching at SSDA as it’s enables me to watch students of all ages flourish in something they love doing, which I take such pride in. As well as being able to allow students to express themselves in a safe environment.
